Links to your site – updated in Google Webmaster Tools

Google have more clear view of Back Links in Webmaster tools, The new feature which is called “Links to your site” in Webmaster Tools is now updated to show you which domains link the most to your site (Although these links are not accurate)
You will see, The domains linking most to your site, The pages on your site with the most links, Sampling of the anchor text external sites are using when they link to your site.
Who links the most is easy to know and you can easily know if that good or bad for your web site based on links from any website, Clicking the “More >>” link under the “Who links the most” section will take you to a new view that shows a listing of all the domains that link to your site. Each domain in the list can be expanded to display a sample of pages from your site which are linked to by that domain.
As per google “You can also see “Your most linked content” view from the overview page, Each page listed in the “All linked pages” view has an associated “More >>” link which displays all the domains linking to that specific page on your site.”
Each domain listed leads to a report of all the pages from that domain linking to your specific page.
This new feature will attract more webmasters and SEO’s towards google webmaster tools and they will have more data to know about possible downfall in ranking or penalty on website due to any link.

Google live search (results as you type is in action now), Its great to have search faster and easier for users for organic search but how about paid search marketing, the advertiser will end up paying more
If you start searching for Web Hosting, when you get to web you get lots of natural “web” results (e.g. web design) plus one PPC ad for Web Hosting. So some brands might want to be careful that they aren’t bidding on terms that get triggered too soon in the process. Another factor is, the fact that a three second pause (In Google Terms) in typing is going to count as impression is going to have huge implications on impressions and click through rates for paid search adverts.
Another factor i assume is that reduced search volumes for niche and long tail terms, people will be able to search with less combinations of keywords!

From the previous Google PR updates it is predicted that Google do the major update in three month times. Last major update was on 4th April, 2010. After that Google make minor update to make corrective action on June3rd and last of June 2010.
All Webmaster and other people concerned with Google PageRank update expect it to happen in first week of July 2010 but nothing rolled out. After a long time we have seen more than four month Gap. Google Tool bar page rank is not that important in these days but link building community and off page SEO companies are still concerned.
What you think about this. Is the Google is on the way to close down it slowly or Google PR importance is going down or Google is still busy in making caffeine a success before it updates.
One thing we are sure that Google is now not giving much importance to Toolbar PR updates
New Back Links Count In Webmaster Tools – It is Caffeine related

If you have checked back links today for your site in webmaster tools, you may be surprised when you see. It seems like most people’s link counts are incredibly inflated. Google seems showing 10 times more back links count as compared to usual link count it was used to report in webmaster tools.
This major inflation of link counts in Google Webmaster Tools has been noted and varified as real counts.
Google has confirmed this huge increases (few noticed less links) in the number of links being displyed, it is Caffeine related.
JohnMu of Google said in a Google Webmaster Help thread:
“Yes, we revamped the data behind the backlinks feature in Webmaster Tools — it has started using more data from “Caffeine” for some sites and is planned to continue with a bit more data in the next week or so. The goal is to have more fresher & up-to-date data there

So we will have now more data to research our back links and rankings.

I got this question recently in meet of link builders held in our city. Either we should use capital letter or small letter or the first character of each word with capital letter in keyword phrase. Today I have noted that like Bing, Google is now allowing the use of background image for customization of Google home page. You can see the link at bottom left and click on it. Pop up window will open with many images. You can select one and fix it as Google home page background. More options, whether you want to include image from your computer, Picasa album or from Public gallery. Google Minor PR Update June 2010

Minor PR update have been seen in some sites where PR gone from 1 to 2 or 2 to 3 and in some cases from PR 0 to PR3.
Seems that its small PR update and Big PR update is yet to be expected. Its varying between PRn/a, PR0 and what appears to be true Page Rank, I have not seen any changes on several other sites, so it seems its small PR update.
